Year of the Horse 2026: Harness the Fire Horse and ground your energy with Qigong

Why is Qigong important this year? Because in a year full of movement and fiery momentum, we need practices that keep us centred, calm and connected to ourselves.

The Year of the Horse begins on February 17, 2026 in the Chinese Lunar Calendar.

2026 brings us the Yang Fire Horse - a year of action and passion. It inspires creativity, courage and transformation… yet the Fire Horse energy can also feel intense. In traditional teachings, balancing strong Fire energy is essential for emotional harmony and wellbeing.

This is where Qigong supports us beautifully. Its slow, mindful practice helps settle excess heat, nourish the body and ground our energy. It strengthens our vitality so we can move through the year with clarity rather than burnout- riding the Fire Horse with steadiness and purpose, harnessing its energy for the year ahead.

I feel honoured and grateful to practise and share Qigong with you.

Wishing everyone a healthy and harmonious New Year ☯
